Everly Mag: How did you get the part on Mani?

Brianni: The director, Mitch Parks, saw me interviewing celebrities at the NAACP Image Awards.  He contacted me to offer me the principal role of Ashley in Mani Season 2.  After some changes to the cast, the role of Ashley was changed to Jenna, a recurring role in the series.

Everly Mag: How many days did you spend on set?

Brianni: I spent 5-6 days on set.

Everly Mag: What was the best part of filming Mani?

Brianni: The best part of filming Mani is every day we’re on set.  Mitch Parks is the best director ever.  An awesome day is when we went go-kart driving and played at the arcade.

Everly Mag: What was the hardest part of being on the Mani set?

Brianni: When I first got there, it was hard because I hadn’t watched the show yet so I didn’t understand it.

Everly Mag: Who is your inspiration for your acting career?

Brianni: My inspiration is Jesus and my grandmother YaYa.  Jesus for giving me talent, and my YaYa because she knew Hollywood would adore me and makes sure I stay well-rounded.

Everly Mag: What advice would you give to young people who want to act?

Brianni: Stay in school, work hard, and never give up on your dreams.

Brianni is proud to stand up against bullying and to be an ambassador for Rock Your Hair, among other brands.  She recently finished shooting a national commercial.

Brianni’s interview was conducted over email in January 2018.  The interview was parent-facilitated and edited for spelling and grammar only.
