Bianca and Chiara D’Ambrosio are a dynamic duo.
These tween twins are making their mark as actors and singers. Between releasing their single “That’s What Girls Do,” guest-starring on Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn, and filming YouTube videos, the D’Ambrosio twins are a match made for stardom.
Everly Mag talked to the 12-year old stars about how they got started, what helps them stay confident, and where they’re going next.

Everly Mag: How did you get your start in acting and singing?
Bianca & Chiara: We started early! Our actual first big gig was playing Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless. That’s where we caught the acting bug. From there, we just started going out to auditions and getting booked together and separately. It’s been such a great experience all around.
Music came after acting. We caught the music bug when we performed our song Let Your Light Shine, which was an anti-bullying song. It got over a million views on YouTube and taught us how our music can connect with other kids and people. From there, we started taking music lessons and performing.
Everly Mag: Tell us about your early experiences in the professional industry – acting on The Young and the Restless, and being featured in Bon Jovi’s music video.
Bianca & Chiara: The Young and the Restless was really a great experience, since it was such a big show and such an important character! Being twins, they needed the two of us to play Summer. It was fun to watch each other do the same role.
The Bon Jovi [“What Do You Got”] video was a party set – so we got to play, eat cake and just be kids on camera for one of the biggest bands in the world! I don’t think we were really nervous, because the sets were fun and the cast and crew were just super nice and made it a fun day. Doing these two projects taught us how to be professional on set, and how important the cast and crew are to a successful day of shooting! Oh, and congrats to Bon Jovi for entering the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame this year!!! How awesome is that?!
Everly Mag: What are the differences between singing in the studio, in music videos, and for a live audience? What’s your favorite way to perform?
Bianca & Chiara: In the studio you have more time to get things right, but it’s a lot of hard work! You have a producer helping you get your best performance and you are there to do your job.
Music videos usually have a time and schedule you have to stick to, like TV [and] movies, so you really have to deliver and be considerate of others’ time and effort. Performing live is just super fun! You can get people involved, you feed off their energy and see immediate smiles and gratification.
Live is probably our favorite! That’s why we love doing Instagram Live Stories too – it’s just us being us.
Everly Mag: Who inspires you in your acting and singing career? Who do you want to work with someday?
Bianca & Chiara: We love so many actors and musicians. Right now, we are loving Millie Bobby Brown and Camila Cabello. We would LOVE to work with both of them!
Everly Mag: Tell us about your single, “That’s What Girls Do.” What do you love about the song?
Bianca & Chiara: “That’s What Girls Do” is about being a kid and the things we love to do – hanging out with friends, shopping, and having fun. The song was different for us because we got to rap. We switched off vocals and it was just like finishing each other’s sentences, which we do anyway! Creating the music video was a blast too, and it feature[s] our rescue dogs Max and Cali.

Everly Mag: Tell us about your upcoming role in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn.
Bianca & Chiara: We were so excited to work on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn for so many reasons! Our first Nickelodeon show we did was See Dad Run, which was on the same stage as Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. So, to go back a few years later and work again on the same stage and with [the] same crew was amazing!
Plus, we were very lucky to be able to work with some of our friends from the show. We can’t talk about the storyline [yet] but it is very funny – you’ll have to tune in to see!
Everly Mag: What are the most positive and negative aspects of social media? How can teens make social media a better place?
Bianca & Chiara: Social media has been great for us to interact and connect with our fans. The downside, of course, is the negative comments and cyberbullying. It’s hard to prevent it from happening, but there are ways to monitor and control it. If someone is a bully, you can block them, delete their comments, or ignore them.
For the most part, our followers have been so positive, supportive and kind! We are on the Board of Directors for Boo2Bullying, and always encourage kids to talk to their parents, school principal, or counselor if [they are] experiencing cyberbullying. Kids should know that they’re not alone, and that bullies are bullying because of their own insecurities.
Everly Mag: How do you stay confident? What advice do you have for teens and tweens who want to be more confident?
Bianca & Chiara: Just be you and always look at the bright side of life. Besides being on the board of directors for Boo2Bullying, we are huge supporters of animal charities.
When you do good deeds and support good causes, it makes you feel good. One thing that we try to do is post things that are not always perfect and glamorous. We want kids to realize they don’t have to be perfect, just be the best you.
Everly Mag: What advice do you have for aspiring young performers?
Bianca & Chiara: Never give up. Try your best and have fun. Some things take time, but if you keep trying and learning, something will happen. But, make sure to have fun!
Everly Mag: What’s it like working together as twins? How are you similar and how are you different?
Bianca & Chiara: Working together is great because we are besties anyway! We support each other and make each other better. We are similar in so many ways (obviously, we are twins so we look alike)!, but we’re also pretty different in a lot of ways. Bianca is more fearless [and] rowdy. Chiara is more cautious.

Everly Mag: What do you like to do with your friends and when you’re not acting?
Bianca & Chiara: We love singing, dancing, and going to movies and concerts. Pretty much what most kids do. We’re always making Musical.ly videos together!
Everly Mag: What are your favorites right now?
Bianca & Chiara: Our favorite movie is currently The Greatest Showman. We love EVERYTHING about that movie. We know all the songs. Have you seen it? Zac Efron and Zendaya. That’s all we need to say. Favorite show – STRANGER THINGS. Obsessed. [Favorite] food – pizza!
We were just in Utah for the Sundance Festival and just love Utah. So much fun. We also love shoes… all kinds of shoes.
Everly Mag: What’s next for you?
Bianca & Chiara: We are really excited about our episode of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn airing. We also have a movie we are shooting in the fall and are actually shooting a pilot as well. We have a couple YouTube series too: A Day In the Life of D’Ambrosio Twins every Thursday and Twin Talk every Tuesday.
