Confidence is definitely something that many people can struggle with. Not everybody is comfortable with themselves, especially nowadays due to social media. Seeing people who seemingly look perfect can make you feel like that’s what you have to look like. The truth is, you are beautiful just the way you are, and if you are having trouble believing that, here are 5 ways to become more confident:
Find your Passion
When you find something that you know you are good at doing, keep doing it. You’re not going to be good at everything, but don’t beat yourself up about it. There is always something that you’ll be amazing at! Maybe you’re good at makeup or drawing or skateboarding! When you finally realize that you have a strong suit and you see yourself doing it, you’ll feel awesome.
A great way to show yourself how beautiful you really are is to point out the things you love about yourself, whether it be your ears or your smile. When you first wake up in the morning, go to the mirror and look at yourself. List three things that you are currently loving about yourself. Maybe you like how glowy your skin is looking or how sleek and shiny your hair may be. These small things can make you feel really good about yourself. You will soon realize that there are several beautiful things about you.
One of the biggest reasons for lacking confidence is caring too much! The best advice would be to not try to impress everybody. Some people may not like your outfit or your hair, but don’t feel like you have to change because of them. Do whatever makes YOU feel your best.
When you hang around good people who make you feel good about yourself, it can really impact your confidence level. If you always hang out with people that make you feel bad about yourself, you need to let them go, all they are gonna do is make you upset. Find people that will hype you up when you post selfies and help you take bomb pictures.
One of the hardest things to do when you’re not confident about yourself is to be yourself. You may think you are annoying, weird, or obnoxious. However, if you just be yourself and accept the fact that NOBODY is perfect, you will become more confident. If you like wearing socks with sandals, do it. If you like talking like Dracula, do it! Be whoever you want to be, even if some people think you’re crazy.
Confidence can be something you need to work on, but hopefully, with these tips, you’ll learn to love yourself unconditionally. You are beautiful, no matter what size, shape, or color.
