What sounds better than nature, tents, and s’mores? The answer: nothing. Camping has so much to offer, so there is always something you will like.
First off, you get to be out in nature. You are surrounded by plants, animals and the open air. No matter where you decide to camp at, you’ll want to enjoy the outdoors. Even if you’re not a outdoors person, there are always things to do.
Depending on where you go, there will be different things to do. If you go camping at a lake, you can go fishing or swim at the beach. If you go to a forest, you can explore and try to find different animals. If being in the outdoors isn’t your thing, rent a cabin! You can play board games and hang out with your family in there. You could also sit outside and paint your view, etc.
Like I said before, cabins are fine, but tents are where it’s at. Sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag may not be the most comfortable, but the whole experience is worth it to me. You wake up to the sounds of animals and you can breathe in the fresh air.
One of the best things about camping is the food. Something about cooking everything over an open flame in tinfoil makes everything taste better! It might sound crazy, but trust me, it’s good. One of my favorite things to cook while camping is hobo packets. You can find a recipe online, but it’s basically ground beef, potatoes, and vegetables wrapped in tinfoil and cooked in the fire. They are so simple but so good. There are also breakfast packets you can make with potatoes, bacon, and an egg. Another one of my favorite camping foods are s’mores! Obviously! Not only are they a delicious dessert, they are also fun to make.
If all this doesn’t make you want to go camping right now, I don’t know what will. I feel like camping it’s an activity for everybody, because there is always something fun to do. Even just camping in your backyard for a night is fun! Sleeping outside isn’t something we are used to, which makes camping different, but fun.
