Everly Mag: Tell us a little about your background.  How did you get started in music and acting?  How did you know you were passionate about performing?

Greg: I started when I was just 7 years old. I started voice lessons at that age and it just progressed from there. I also got offered to be in an acting camp, I auditioned, thinking it really wouldn’t go anywhere and I fell in love with it

Everly Mag: Who are the singers or music artists that inspire you and why?  What are your favorite songs or genres to perform?

Greg: I really look up to Michael Jackson as a performer, and vocally I look up to Usher, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars. I really love R&B music and something a lot of people don’t know is I love country music!

Everly Mag: What have been the top 3 moments of your career so far?

Greg: Top 3 moments would be releasing my first single “Letting Go”, Winning an award for “Best Child Actor” at the AOF Awards, and growing a fanbase through my social media platforms and through my music.

Everly Mag: Tell us a little bit about the process of recording a song.  What inspires your music?  What’s it like to be in the recording studio?  How do you feel when a song is finished?

Greg: I get inspiration for my music by personal experiences and just being a 16 year old kid. The recording process is 4-6 hours of just me in the booth putting all that work in. It’s honestly something I love. When a song is finished I feel really good. I am a perfectionist, so it takes a while to get to the point but after it is finished I listen to it on repeat.

Everly Mag: What do you hope your listeners experience/feel when they’re listening to your music?  How do you want to inspire others?

Greg: I hope my listeners feel a part of the story and the song and imagine a picture in their head and not only share and listen to the music, but feel it and relate it to their personal life and what they are going through.

Everly Mag: Tell us a little bit about your experience acting on Chicken Girls.  What’s the best thing about acting?  What’s the hardest thing?

Greg: My experience with Chicken Girls is fun because it’s just me and my friends having a good time together on set. On camera and off. The best thing is just getting into the role of Henry and playing something I’m not and looking at things from my characters perspective. The hardest part is makeup. I hate putting makeup on, it is not manly and I break out really bad the day after.

Everly Mag: Describe your personality in 5 words.  What do you like to do in your free time?  What do you like to do with your friends?

Greg: Considerate, Goofy, Loyal, Motivated, Hard Working. I like to write music and create beats in my free time. I like to jam out to all kinds of music with my friends and drive around and hang out. Just simple things are the best.

Everly Mag: What do you hope to accomplish in the future?

Greg: I hope to have a #1 single on the billboard charts and iTunes. I hope to win a Grammy someday too.

Everly Mag: Tell us about your experience on social media.  What’s your favorite thing about social media?  What’s your least favorite thing? How can teens make social media a better place?

Greg: My experience on social media is great, because I get to connect with my fans on a more personal level. The worst thing is that people use social media to spread hate when they could be so much happier and productive using that energy to spread love.

Everly Mag: Tell us a little bit about your experiences at Instagram Prom and Playlist.  What were the best parts of these events?

Greg: Instagram prom was fun because I was with all my friends and Charlie Puth pulled up for a performance. That was really cool. Playlist was fun because I got to meet tons of my fans just walking around. Sometimes I could barely walk but it was great. I love meeting my fans.

Everly Mag: What can fans expect to see from you this year?

Greg: Fans can expect to see some new music for sure, new acting roles and lots of collaborations for music.

Everly Mag: Please add anything else – fun fact, story, message – that you’d like our readers to know!

Greg: I actually write and record a lot of my own music at my home studio!
